A pioneering project in Shenzhen, southern China, is utilizing LNG cold energy for cold water aquaculture. The process involves using the cold energy generated during the conversion of liquefied natural gas back into a gaseous state. This energy is employed to cool warm seawater, enabling the cultivation of fish species that thrive in lower temperatures, such as abalone, groupers and sea cucumbers.
