In North China's Hebei Province, farmers are capitalizing on the lucrative business of cultivating scorpions, turning these dark, double-clawed arachnids and their venom into profitable ventures. Traditionally used in Chinese medicine to alleviate convulsions, spasms and pain, scorpions are also enjoyed as a culinary delicacy in some regions, often prepared as deep-fried or roasted snacks.
