China's pioneering salt cavern compressed air energy storage (CAES) facility in Jiangsu Province has surpassed a significant milestone, with its annual working gas capacity exceeding one billion cubic meters. The Jintan gas storage plant now boasts a daily gas production capacity of 27 million cubic meters, setting a new record. This facility operates by utilizing electric energy to compress air into an underground salt cavern.
