China's foreign trade in goods soared to an unprecedented 24.8 trillion yuan (3.5 trillion U.S. dollars) in the first seven months of 2024, marking a 6 percent growth in yuan terms compared to the same period last year. The private sector played a pivotal role in this expansion, alongside rising trade with ASEAN countries and Belt and Road Initiative partners. ASEAN remained China's top trading partner during this period.
