Africa has recorded high mortality rates from diseases like Ebola, measles, malaria, and cholera for decades. The spread of Mpox from Congo recently prompted the WHO to declare a global emergency. The experts have encouraged collaboration among African health stakeholders to prevent the spread of diseases across their borders.
