In a pioneering initiative, a southern Chinese liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal leverages cold energy to foster seafood cultivation. By utilizing seawater to exchange heat with the LNG, which is stored at a frigid temperature of minus 162 degrees Celsius, the LNG is warmed and transformed into a gaseous state for use. The project, initiated as a trial in May last year, encompasses a fish farm with an anticipated annual output of 50 tonnes.
