China achieves a ground-breaking feat in energy storage with the inauguration of the world's first 300-megawatt compressed air energy storage station in Yingcheng. This innovative facility operates by compressing and storing air underground during off-peak hours, then releasing it to generate power during peak demand, functioning as a "super power-bank". With an annual projected power generation of 500 million kilowatt-hours, the station contributes significantly to stabilizing the grid.
