China's economy saw a year-on-year GDP growth of 5.2 percent during the first three quarters of 2023, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). According to Sheng Laiyun, the NBS deputy head, the national economy has demonstrated signs of steady recovery. Production and supply have increased consistently, market demand is expanding, employment and commodity prices have improved and overall development quality has remained stable.
