George Ikua on the Round Table Show

George Ikua has been open about his struggles as a single father. Janet Kanini Ikua was not only a wife and a mother of two, but also a media personality. She was the host of N-Soko the property show on NTV.Theirs was the perfect love story until she passed on. She succumbed to Lung cancer on 1st April 2017, leaving behind their son Pedro 6 and daughter jasmine 3 at that time. George Ikua was viewed as the perfect single dad, raising his children on his own while grieving the love of his life.

The Overwhelming support…

The “I stand with Janet” fundraiser on 8th November, 2015 was a huge success. The couple received overwhelming support from the public, from men above in high places: moved and compelled by their journey to battle the disease which was already at stage four. When she passed on, the country mourned with the family empathizing with the widower.

The Backlash…

Two years later, the motivational Speaker has been running his home and being the best dad he can be. He however rubbed some people the wrong way when he said he is ready to move on and love again. They felt he moved on too fast, he received backlash for declaring he has found true love again.

“While I am immensely grateful to the public, for everything they did for us …The public was not in love with us, they were in love with our story, the story behind our lives…”

Mr. Ikua, in an interview with Miss Tamima on the Real Talk Roundtable, declared he is off the market. He talked about why he thinks marriage should be for 40 years old, on things one should consider before diving into marriage amongst other relationship issues. Tying the knot for the second time, the father of two is certain “She” - the new Mrs. Ikua is the one. Wedding bells are already ringing. The new Mrs. Ikua will soon be flaunted to the world.

P.S: The Real Talk RoundTable hosted by Miss Tamima is a show on Switch Tv that airs every Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:30p.m. In case you missed it, this is how it went down -thank me later.
