China's foreign trade surged by 5.3% in the first nine months of 2024, totaling 32 trillion RMB (4.5 trillion USD), as per Customs data. Exports rose by over 6%, reaching 18 trillion RMB (2.5 trillion USD), while imports grew by more than 4% to over 13 trillion RMB (1.8 trillion USD). Private enterprises played a key role, contributing over half and expanding trade by 9.4%. Notable growth was observed in trade with ASEAN countries, increasing by more than 9%.
