Belgium has marked a significant step in green maritime technology with the commencement of operations of the world's first hydrogen-powered tugboat. The vessel, named the Hydrotug, utilizes hydrogen fuel cells to generate clean energy for propulsion. Developed by Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB), the hydrogen-powered tugboat aims to reduce emissions and contribute to the maritime industry's transition toward sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.
