China's tourism sector has experienced unprecedented growth, with a staggering 155 percent surge in domestic tourist trips during the recent three-day New Year's holiday, totalling 135 million trips. The impressive increase in tourism activity is mirrored in sector revenues, which more than doubled, reaching almost 80 billion yuan. Despite the cold weather, Chinese citizens demonstrated a strong enthusiasm for outdoor sports.
